will serve for pancakes.

Yesterday morning before the game we were able to go do some service with our stake and several other stakes. Our ward was in charge of clearing out a forest. I mean seriously. We took out so many dead trunks and vines that were growing out of control and other trees that the park wanted removed. It was crazy how much we removed. I don't think the maintenance staff thought we would get out as much as we did in such a short amount of time. That's the church for you. The wood chipper couldn't keep up with us and eventually we had to stop because we ran out of room. It was a great experience.

Bonus: we got mormon helping hands t-shirts!

We left around 11:40 AM and decided to get something to eat at The Pancake House. As I was looking at the menu EVERYTHING sounded delicious. I didn't realize I was so hungry while we were at the park.
By the time our food came out I was not even thinking about my manners and probably looked ravenous as I ate my pancakes, omelet and bacon...and some of Bryce's french toast. Ok, we shared everything but it was a lot of food. yummy food. I can't stop thinking about it actually and I don't know if it's because I was so hungry or if it was really that delicious. We didn't even talk while we ate and I am sure the old man sitting at the booth across from us wasn't staring because he liked my BYU shirt. He must have been appauled at the sight of us.
Wish I had a picture to share with you but we were too busy eating.

game day

There is one tiny little patch of green grass outside our front door that Sam likes to sit in. The weather has been perfect for laying in the grass and going on walks. I love the fall.

Too bad BYU played HORRIBLE. I had to wear my dang Ute shirt again today since BYU lost.

Oh Rapunzel.

You sure do have a hold on this boys heart.

I don't know how many times we have watched Tangled (at least the part where she gets to see the lanterns for the first time). Sam loves listening to her sing. As soon as he hears the song he smiles and laughs. It's so cute.
Oh, and we bought a chair to have something other than black furniture in our living room. We love it and so does Sam.

a visit from Aunt Sara

My sister Sara was in Ecuador for 3 months serving in orphanages. She was not in UT when we visited this summer so she booked her flight from Ecuador to Indiana so she could see Sam. She was here for 1 1/2 weeks and it was so great having her visit! We miss her.

We went to an apple orchard. Sam was not too happy and it was hot so we didn't stay long. We got an apple slushy before we left which was delish.

When we arrived back home we fed Sammy some bananas and he was excited about that. He loves bananas.

 Cuddle buddies.

Sam really loves his Aunt Sara.

Sara was here for our Young Women ice blocking activity. There are not any really amazing hills close by to go down but we found a decent one. It was really fun and Bryce even took Sam down the hill a couple times.
