6 Months

Another month closer to having our baby join us on earth!
Time is still flying by and with the holidays coming it
will only make time go faster which I am happy about.
We can't wait to meet baby Sam!

Strong and Immovable

"It is so tremendously important that the women of the church stand strong and immovable for that which is correct and proper under the plan of the Lord". -President Gordan B. Hinckley

"Within the plan of the Lord there are specific things LDS women must do because they are daughters of God...We learn what He would have us learn, we do as He would have us do and we become what He would have us become". -Julie B. Beck, Relief Society President

I did a study on my mission after Sister Beck gave a conference talk about being strong and immovable. These two quotes are written in my scriptures and I love them so much I wanted to share them with you. It is still something that I study and think about often as I try to prepare myself for life's challenges. I feel a strong desire in my heart to become who I am meant to be and I know this can only be done through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We are also only able to experience joy through the difficulties in life as we truly rely on our Savior.
I want to be strong and immovable for Bryce. I know that as our life together continues on I will need to be a support to him and I can't do that unless I am constantly building my testimony on a sure foundation.
I want to be strong and immovable for our new baby who will come into our lives soon and for our future children. I want to prepare them for life and help them to make good choices by recognizing the spirit and having courage to follow those promptings.
I truly desire to learn and do and become what God wants me to. I am so grateful that Bryce is right there with me pushing forward, steadfast in Christ.

Ugh.

My blog layout is driving me crazy. For some reason the blog title and footer are thrown all the way to the left of the page and I cannot get it centered for the life of me. I've given up, unless someone reading this knows how to get it back to normal. Please let me know.

Later on...
I figured it out! It took me forever but I am so happy my blog looks normal again. Now I can go make dinner :)

It's another Cougar 1st down!

I had to post this video Alyssa and I made especially for
Bryce while I was visiting UT. He hates going to the BYU
stadium because every 1st down he has to hear the migthy
Cougar roar. So here's to you Bryce, with all our love :)

Halloween

Bryce and I weren't exactly festive this year for Halloween.
We didn't dress up, we bought our pumpkin from
Krogers the day before Halloween and we missed a
Halloween party at the Henricksen's.
sigh.
It was still a fun weekend though.

We carved our pumpkin.

The finished product...

Ghost pumkin lit up.

Our next door neighbor is an older woman who has been collecting Halloween decorations and
didn't have enough room in her yard so she kindly decorated our yard as well.
At least we looked festive!

She used the more elaborate decor for her yard.

We enjoyed some delicious broccoli cheese potato soup for
dinner and later had some hot chocolate while waiting for trick
or treaters. Unfortunately we didn't have as many ghosts and
goblins come to our door as I would have hoped so we still have
a bowl full of candy. Happy Halloween!
